Full moon in May 2017

on Sunday, May 14. -  8:00am bis 6:00pm


Vesak commemorates the Birth, Enlightenment, and Death of Gautama the Buddha. It is the most important Buddhist festival and occurs on the full moon day of May. This year Vesak will be celebrated at Germany’s historic and oldest Buddhist Temple, Das Buddhistische Haus, on Sunday May 14, 2017 (Buddhist Era 2561) in the most fitting manner as undertaken by the Organising Committee.

Members of the public are kindly invited to take part in these celebrations comprising primarily Dana, Sila, Bhavana activities conducted in commemoration of the Buddha’s universal message of peace and non – violence towards all living beings.
